The Course Material Initially we started with the book: Life in the United Kingdom - Second Edition (2007), a sample of which can be seen in the picture to the right, and applied to it 4 stages detailed below to produce the interactive course.
Stage 1 The text was input into the 220 Engine. With speech, it was already already easier to "read" but 220 Soft went much further...
Stage 2 The paragraphs were split into easily digestible pieces making reading easier. Spoken paragraphs were made to correspond to smaller highlighted setions of text.
Stage 3 Pictures, graphs and other ilustrations were added throughout the course to make for a more pleasant studying experience.
Stage 4 Glossary and other links were added, meaning that a lot of extra help and information is available by right-clicking links.
