Quick Start and First StepsXP |
| Quick Start and First StepsXP are unique courses for people new to computers. Their "take nothing for granted" approach leads learners step-by-step from holding and using the mouse to typing (Using Shift, Ctrl etc.) and on to essential computer tasks like managing files. For a full list of the course contents, click here or on the image on the right. |
|
| The courses are an ideal introduction for anyone wanting to use computers, whether it is simply for leisure, to progress to ICT courses like ECDL or to use PCs for e-learning in any subject. There are FOUR courses available to suit all needs:
The total is brought to four with both the above being available in Standard and Advanced versions. The advanced, like the standard, assumes no computer knowledge but assumes a higher literacy level with, for example, more words to the page and a smaller font. Note that First StepsXP teaches the XP operating system and is therefore still suitable for establishments with old equipment to teach this. Similarly, Quick Start will work on an XP computer to allow students with an old computer at home to learn about it on more modern equipment in the training establishment. |
